Robin Olsen completes deadline day move to Everton for a season long loan from Roma.
His career started at Swedish club, Bunkeflo in 2009 before he would go on to play for a host of European clubs including PAOK, Roma & Cagliari as well as more successful spells at Malmö FF & F.C. Copenhagen. It was in 2015 when he received his first call up to the national team where he would go on to earn 38 caps to date.
Robin Olsen signed for Roma following a series of impressive displays at the 2018 World Cup where Sweden reached the quarter final of the competition. The experienced Swedish international made 17 appearances last season for Roma, keeping 4 clean sheets and leading the side to a 5th place finish in Serie A. Other achievements include winning two Allsvenskan titles & one Swedish Super Cup for Malmö FF alongside two Danish Superliga titles & two Danish Cups during his time at F.C. Copenhagen.
After a remarkable start to the Premier League campaign, Everton will hope that their new addition will provide competition for current number 1, Jordan Pickford who has been under increased scrutiny due to recent performances.
